for the 9th Edition of
Neohumanist Review
on the Topic of
Eternal Dance of Macrocosm
“Oh, East is East, and West is West, and never the twain shall meet.” This is a famous line from Rudyard Kipling, where the word “twain” means that two things are so different as to have no opportunity to come together. Shrii Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar rejected this sentiment. He recognised that the East had made “a unique contribution to the storehouse of human culture and civilisation” but suffered from a lack of a strong material base. The West, on the other hand, appears to have become masters of the physical universe but suffers mental and social unrest and totally lacks spiritual wealth. “Therefore, it behoves both the East and the West to accept a synthetic ideology that stands for a happy synthesis between the two.”
The 9th edition of the Neohumanist Review will be devoted to articles on this theme. Shrii Sarkar gave the title “Eternal Dance of Macrocosm” to a book that attempted to bridge the gap between Eastern and Western cosmologies. Articles may explore Shrii Sarkar’s notion of cosmic devolution and evolution; the creation and evolution of life and mind; physical, psychic, and spiritual developments; and their theoretical and practical applications through various lenses of science and the humanities: in physics, chemistry, biology, economics, sociology, education, environmental science, philosophies of technology, new materialism, posthumanism, postcolonial studies, feminist futures, and related fields. The special edition will be printed in mid-2027.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Proposal Abstracts
Length: 300–500 words
Preferred Date: December 1, 2026
Abstracts should outline the paper’s objectives, methodology, and anticipated contribution to the
special edition.
Final Papers
Length: 4,000–6,000 words
Tentative Date: April 1, 2027 (earlier submissions encouraged)
Submissions must be original, unpublished works not under consideration elsewhere.

Key Dates
- Abstracts due by December 1, 2026.
- Authors of accepted abstracts should submit their paper by April 1, 2027.
- Submitted papers will be sent to reviewers, who will return their reviews by May 15, 2027.
- Peer reviews will be sent to authors, who will return their finalised paper to us by July 1.
